Welcome to THE
|
Maribel Trujillo-Fruitstone | President
Maribel moved to El Portal in 2001 because she wanted a house in a good neighborhood with older, charming homes and a backyard with trees. Her favorite thing about the Village is its proximity to everything; arts, culture, airport, beaches, sports, etc, and the fact that she is part of an active community. She sees the world through the eyes of an artist, often observing people, music, and places in a way that inspires her to express herself positively. She loves arts and crafts and is most inspired by her daughter. Maribel’s favorite El Portal events are associated with river clean-up. As an EPWC board member, she would like to encourage events that people will look forward to coming to every year and would love for EPWC to try and acquire another green space in the Village to transform into a park for the community. The project she is most passionate about is caroling through the village. She would also like to help spruce up the Village with community grants.

If Zamira were an addition to the crayon box, she would be “SPARKLY BLUE: because “everything around and above God's green Earth is amazing, peaceful and blue” and she likes “a little ‘bling’ to make things shine”.
